Sharon RUDD Obituary

RUDD, Sharon Dorothy (Burrow) "Sherry"
(Age 73)

It was a late spring afternoon when the Heavens received another Angel as Sherry took her last breath on May 29th while holding Jim's hand. She was a life-long resident of Spokane, born to Chet and Mary Alice Burrow on July 6, 1943. She attended St. Francis of Assisi grade school and graduated from Marycliff High School in 1961. She then attended beauty school and worked at The Bungalow Beauty Shop. In November of 1962 she married Jim Rudd and they raised four children together.
Sherry's enthusiasm for life was evident every day. She enjoyed camping, golfing, hanging out with the ladies and working in the yard tending to her flowers. Sherry especially loved opening her home for holiday celebrations and family BBQ's where her loving, caring and generous personality was showered upon family and friends. Her strength and determination came through these last months as she fought a relatively short, but courageous battle against cancer.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law Mark J. Rauch. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 55 years, Jim and their children Mike (Lisa), Cheryl (Carl), Christine (Mikey) and Scott (Kristi), her grandchildren Ryan, Jacob, Josh, Brett and Delaney, and her brothers and sisters, Mary Kay (Chuck), Colleen (Jake), Larry (Katie) and Jim (Linda). Funeral Mass will be celebrated June 12, 2017 at11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4420 N. Jefferson, Spokane, WA. Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane. Arrangements have been entrusted to:

I have very early memories of going to Sharon's with my mom to get her hair done on Fridays. Sharon was always so nice to me. I thought she was so beautiful with her gorgeous red hair. Her daughter's inherited that beauty...inside and out. My love and prayers to the family.
