Veronica WHITE Obituary

March 12, 1946 - May 2, 2025

A formidable woman, wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend, Veronica, passed away peacefully at her home on May 2, 2025, at the age of 79. Born March 12, 1946, she resided in Spokane, WA and Cheyenne, WY, for most of her life. As the eldest living daughter to George and Julia White, she took on the role of matriarch after Julia's illness and passing and held the expansive White family together. She loved family, cooking, Christmas, music, travel, coupons, soap operas, and football. As an avid Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos fan, she could regularly be found yelling at the TV on any given Sunday.

She attended school in Spokane at St Aloysius, Holy Name, and North Central. After graduation, she followed her older brothers, Jim and Bob, and moved to California. "Legs from San Diego" was a well-known cast member in the community and competed in the Miss Long Beach pageant in 1969. She moved back to Spokane in 1971 and worked at Spokane Railway Credit Union as a loan officer. She gave birth to her son, Clint, a few years later and began raising him as a single mother. Three years later, Veronica was introduced to her life partner, Roger White. After the birth of their daughter, Veronica became a homemaker and followed Roger on his many assignments in the US Marshal Service. Never forgetting her roots, Veronica continued to call Spokane home and in 2021, she returned to live out her final years surrounded by family and friends.

Veronica is survived by her husband of 47 years, Roger White; son, Clint Sellers; daughter, Tiffany White; grandchildren, Blake, Hunter, and Harmony; brothers, Jerry, Jim, Rayme, Bruce, Bill, and Ben White; sister, Isabelle Nickerson (White); and many nieces and nephews that she was proud to call family. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, George and Julia White (Ihme); sister, Marilynn; and brother, Bob.

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in her name to the Alzheimer's Association for research. Alzheimer's disease creates such a bizarre situation and process for families who deal with the loss of a loved one before they are ever physically gone. Help find a cure.
