Family-Placed Obituary

REINDAHL, Norman O. "Bud" 89 of Springfield died Sunday, March 05, 2006 in Good Shepherd Village. He was born in Burke Township in Dane County, Wisconsin on June 20, 1916, the son of Kittle and Olive (Olson) Reindahl. He came to Ohio in 1940, where he married Vera Lingo on December 14, 1940. They lived in Yellow Springs until 1962, when they moved to a farm in the Enon area. He was a member of Beacon Street Church of Christ in Christian Union and the Gem City Council 003 of Commercial Travelers of America. He was a self-employed carpenter and part-time farmer. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army from 1942-1945 in the European Theater. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Vera in 1987; three sisters and three brothers in law Martha Reindahl, Myrtle (Bill) Snyder, Dorothy (Edwin) Heller, and Edward Bitter. Survivors include one sister Jeanette Bitter of Edgerton, Wisconsin; one step son and daughter in law Ronald and Rose Lingo; two grandsons Joe and Tony Lingo; one granddaughter Beverly Trollinger; three great granddaughters Andrea and Sarah Trollinger, and Breanne Lingo; one great-grandson Dalton Lingo all of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Beacon Street Church of Christ with Pastors David L. Glauner and Joe Dillard officiating. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services at the church. The family is being served by RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Burial to follow in Glen Forest Cemetery, Yellow Springs. Memorial contributions are requested to the American Heart Association and the Arthritis Foundation. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.richardsraffanddunbar.com.
