Tildon Chavers Obituary
Mr. Chavers was a native of Milton, FL where he was a dairyman, farmer and process operator for Air Products & Chemicals, Pace Plant until his retirement in 1987. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps 1943-1946 as an aircraft mechanic with the Marine Aircraft Group 13 where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant.
He is survived by his wife-Annie Ruth Chavers of Snellville, GA., four children, nine grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for July 17, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Bamberg Chapel in Milton, Florida.
Mr. Chavers gave his body to Mercer University School of Medicine to aid in the education of Medical students and research. Anyone wishing to give a memorial gift in his name can do so by contacting The Crisis Pregnancy Center in care of Milton First Baptist Church, Milton, Florida.

I so loved my Uncle Tildon, a proud Marine. He was a great father, husband, and understood the meaning of hard work. It was always a treat to go to their dairy farm--he'd let me try and milk a cow but never was I successful. I miss him!!!!

How I loved my Uncle Tildon!!! He was such a cutie even at age 84! He leaves a wonderful legacy.

Sorry about the loss of Tildon. My half brother worked at the dairy when he was 15 years old his name was John B Goddin. He always thought very highly lf Tildon. David McCarthy

Mr. Chavers always treated us with friendship and kindness when we worked on our property right next-door to his on Tildon St. We finally returned from NY and built a beautiful new house there. We send our love and sympathy to Mrs. Chavers and all the family
