Michael Kakalec Obituary
Michael A. Kakalec Sr. passed away Aug. 15.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Margot Downing Kakalec; his children, Michael (Noreen), Melanie (Mark) and Marcee; and grandchildren, Natalie, Delaney and Braedon.
He was a kind and loving soul.
Michael was born in McAdoo to Peter and Mary Kakalec and was one of 13 children.
Michael graduated from McAdoo High School, served in the U.S. Army, earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Detroit and a master's degree at New York University.
A Byzantine Catholic funeral and Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Catherine Roman Catholic Church, Morgan Hill, Calif.
