Hi Vaughirene: I am so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. She was such a sweet lady & I enjoyed her company whenever our Mom's got together. I have many remembrances of the Whipporwill Yarn Shop, too. My son still has an afgan that my mom knitted...I have patched it many times. It's old & worn but still holds many fond memories. I will keep you & your family in my prayers. God Bless!

Hi Vaughirene- Just wanted to say we were so sorry to hear about Alice. You know that we loved her, and we loved taking care of her. We will miss her terribly, but I'm sure she is very happy with Ed. Take care of yourself. Love, Laurie & Carla (4D)

Vaughirene, Lois and I are saddened to hear of your mother's passing. We, of course, never knew her personally; however through your and my years of building the Buckbee genealogy together, I feel I know all the members of your family, ancestors and descendants. Please extend our symapthy to the entire family.

I will never forget the time spent with Nanny at the Yarn Shop. Eating breakfast at the Newberry's counter. Stopping at Rosenbaums and messing with the resident parrot while Nanny talked to her friends. Building card board box forts between the counters. Lunches at Central Hots, and Bompy picking us up at the end of the day. She was always there, the last day of swim lessons, grandparents day, soccer games, school musicals and plays, graduation, and the queen of every Holiday. Thank you to everyone who has left a message here I know my mother and brothers appreciate your thoughts.

Vaughirene and Family: One of the best memories I have is of the Whipporwill Yarn and Gift Shop and that lovely lady that owned it. As the years pass, so do those who contribute to the memories we hold so dear. My deepest sympathies to those left behind by Alice's passing and may you find comfort from the legacy this wonderful lady left behind.

She was a beautiful lady and gave so much to the knitting community in this area. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
