Donna Comstock Obituary

Donna M. Age 73, of N. Elmira Street, Sayre, PA, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 22, 2004, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Born February 23, 1931, the daughter of the late Glenn Stillman and Elberta Welch and the sister of the late Glenn Stillman Jr. She was a member of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church and also a member of their Altar and Rosary Society. She retired from Ingersoll Rand in Athens after 23 years of service. Donna was also a member of the Waverly Moose Lodge. She loved to cook, garden and loved animals. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bernard D. Comstock at home; her children, Linda (Michael) Merritt of Athens, Karen (Dwight) Hunter of S. Waverly, Glenda (Harland) Brown of Campbell, NY, Charles (Kristen) Comstock of Sandwich, MA, and Edward (Gwynne) Comstock of Sayre, PA; her grandchildren, Robin, Dean, Jamie, Kristy, Scott, Darlene, Collene, Megan, Zachary, Dustin, Daniel, Matthew, Seamus, Lauren, Brad and Jon; also several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special aunt, Dorla Oliver of Cortland, NY. At Donna's request, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Vincent Langan Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Sayre, PA. Interment will follow at Tioga Point Cemetery. The family will provide flowers; those wishing may direct memorials to either Happy Tails No Kill Animal Shelter, PO Box #68, Towanda, PA 18848, or Epiphany School, 627 Stevenson Street, Sayre, PA 18840, or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are with the Luckner Funeral Home, 449 Park Ave., Waverly, NY 14482.
