Frank Rinker Obituary

Frank W. Age 75, of Horseheads, NY, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Elcor Health Services after an extended illness. He is survived by his former wife and friend, Shirley Rinker; and son, David Rinker, both of Horseheads; granddaughter, Karli Ann Rinker of Corning; sister, Hilda Willis of Hunningdon, PA. Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War, and earned the Air Medal for logging over 1,000 combat hours over enemy territory. He was a teacher and coached basketball and wrestling. Frank enjoyed music and was a past member of the Mark Twain Barbershoppers and Common Time. His latest love was writing, which he wrote and had published the book, "Das Leck." Family and friends are invited to his Memorial Service on Thursday, March 15th, at 4 p.m. in Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira. Rev. Richard Price will officiate. Inurnment will take place in Woodlawn National Cemetery Columbarium at the convenience of the family.
