Jerry Franklin Pierson

1941 - 2025

Jerry Franklin Pierson, 84, of Chester, MD, passed away at his home on August 18, 2025, from a short illness, surrounded by his loving family. Jerry is survived by the love of his life, Bonnie Kay Pierson. He was born in Grasonville, Maryland on March 2nd, 1941, to the late Milton and Mina Pierson. Jerry is survived by his 2 daughters, Kelly Jarrell (Charlie) and Kim Ruth (Scott). Jerry is also survived by his six grandchildren; Jenna (Michael), Chase (Leah), Shelby, Kendal (Eric), Brody (Megan), and Makayla (Luke); and nine great-grandchildren: Summer, Tatum, Owen, Dempsey, Evelyn, Avery, Wylder, Ryker, and Rhett. In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his siblings, Tommy Pierson, Catherine Heim, Bobby Pierson, and Gloria Kelley; and his beloved daughter Karla, who he greatly missed every day. Jerry had many accomplishments over his lifetime, just a few were, he was a Bank director of CNB and Shore United Bank and Shore Bancshares, Inc. for 33 years. He was also a coach and ball player on a men's softball team for many years where he made many friends. Jerry organized the Randy Morris Memorial Golf Tournament for 18 years helping a different family in need each year, but his most proud accomplishment was owning his own plumbing, heating and AC business for 57 years. It was no secret that Jerry had a strong work ethic, took great pride in his work and became friends with many loyal customers. There were many hours spent with family and friends at family gatherings, holidays, summer vacations at Ocean City, which he enjoyed the most. You could always find Jerry on the sidelines at his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sports activities and school events, he truly believed in supporting his family. Jerry will always be remembered as kind and loving gentlemen, one who always put his family first and will forever be missed. Just tuck a memory of me in your heart, one that will last a lifetime. A visitation will be held at the Kent Island Methodist Church on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A funeral service will be held at the church on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11am. A burial will follow immediately after the funeral at the Stevensville Cemetery.
