My sincere thoughts and prayers are wished to Mr. Hancock's family. I would love to say that I was honored to have met him as I worked with him with his Low Vision. I remember meeting him in the office and he was such a wonderful man from the minute I met him. He had such a wonderful manner and love for God and Life. He really touched my heart with his kindness and I really enjoyed the couple of times my husband and I went to his home and spoke with him. He will certainly be missed by many friends as well as family. I send my prayers and love to his family . May God Bless each one of you. I thank God for the opportunity that he allowed me to meet such a wonderful man... I will certainly miss him but know he is in a Heavenly place..

Reg was a long time family friend and stalwart supporter of local environmental causes, especially land protection. I’m so pleased to see one of his favorite recitals “the Land of Pleasant Living” included in his obituary; he truly felt this to his core.
RIP my friend.

May God bless you and your family, now and always, with the many comforting and uplifting memories of Reggie's GIANT, beautiful and inspiring Godly spirit. I'll always remember (as Concerned Citizens for Worcester County), beyond his successful petition for an elected school board, that he never relented in striving (prayerfully, even) for the benevolence of all peoples of Worcester County. I SO DEEPLY regret that I am physically unable to attend his services. If anyone will be recording them, I would LOVE to watch them after the fact on the internet. Thank you. Thank you, also, for making him the gift that he was, and, then, for sharing him. Keep safe, God bless and Godspeed. Prayerfully, in Christ.

One of my first Girdletree memories was going with Pop to visit cousin Reg. Pop and Reg shared love of country and Girdletree. Sure all of the Johnson Family are enjoying coffee cake with tea and coffee. Rest easy. The Fulton Family and The Roby F. Johnson Family.

Mr. Reggie T. Hancock, what a gentleman and a role model to follow. I first met "REGGIE" at my Uncle Cecil and Aunt Viola Redden's house in Kleij Grange . At the time he was a United States Marine and my cousin Cookie Redden was a United States Marine. In later years I would meet Mr. Reggie in a different uniform, Maryland State Police. I was sixteen, drag racing on Route 13, Pocomoke
I got a warning , no ticket and a , go home Reggie T. I had found out that my sister Betty Mason Selby at one time had attended school with Mr. Reggie and had told my parents what a great person he was, so I was named Reggie T. (Mason). I guess it paid off being named after him. It was a sorry time to see him leave the state police. No doubt he would move on and become a Parole and Probation Officer and retire. When very young my dad a old (D) had told me there was over 12 000 (D) in this county and under 3000 (R). Mr. Reggie would sure change that. Becomming the first Republican County Commissioner , things turned around. I had changed to a (R) and Mr Reggie would go to the schools recruiting seniors in becomming (R). I would become a United States Marine, later Law Enforcement and Retiring. Mr. Reggie and I through many years would talk on the phone about speeder's in Stockton. Just a few weeks ago I talked with Mr. Reggie and he told me he was going down hill. He now had a person at the house taking care of him and how wonderful it was to have this person there. Our last phone call. I always remember things you taught me. TREAT PEOPLE WITH RESPECT AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE RESPECT. There was a few times on the job, I had to remember that. Worcester County we have lost a great man. For those that did not know him or The Hancock Family, they were OUTSTANDING. Mrs Littleton ( late Warren) Strayer and Lyndon , both deceased, just wish more families were like them. Mrs. Littleton, May God Bless You and the family. We all will miss MR. REGGIE T. HANCOCK.

Mr. Reggie Hancock. What a role model to follow. I first met Mr. Reggie at my Uncle Cecil and Aunt Viola Redden's house in Klieg Grange. He was a United States Marine at the time. I was told in later years that my sister Betty Mason Selby , she had attended school with Mr. Reggie , had my mother and father name me after him. "REGGIE". The years went on and Mr. Reggie and I would meet again. I was out drag racing with friends and Maryland State Trooper Reggie Hancock pulled me over. What a gentleman. He told me to go home, no warning or ticket. Later , he would leave The State Police and entered a new profession. Later he would become a Republican Worcester County Commissioner, the first I had known being elected as a Republican. This is the person, in later years , who went out to recruit my so and other young
people to become Republican's. To me he was Mr Republican of Worcester County. He was so supportive of Law Enforcement . Often he would call about speeding cars in his community when I was Chief Deputy, later as Sheriff of this county. Most times once aweek. After my retirement, we would talk on the phone, but not as much, as before. I talked with him just a few weeks ago. He told me he was going down hill and that he had a wonderful care taker at the house. We laughed about us two "REGGIE's. I and other's will never forget this great man. I thank you Mr. Reggie for all of the advice, it helped me to be a better person. May God Bless The Hancock Family, I knew them all and none better. Semper Fi. "REGGIE".
