Frank Jenkins Obituary

Frank Thomas Jenkins, 75, of Fairfax, died Monday, August 7, 2006 at Potomac Center Nursing Home in Arlington. He was born February 19, 1931 in Slate Mills, to the late Conner and Mary Sisk Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins was an avid outdoorsman and loved the mountain scenery. He was a devoted fan of the racetrack and faithfully attended every Saturday. He is survived by his wife of fifty five years, Annie Lee Jenkins; a daughter, Peggy Ann Jenkins Lawrence of Sterling; a granddaughter, Brittany Allen Lawrence of Sterling; one brother, Richard J. Jenkins and his wife, Lillian of Slate Mills; two sisters, Mary Atkins and her husband, Roy of Sperryville and Maude Racer and her husband, Charles of Slate Mills. Additional survivors include brothers-in-law, Lawrence Perry of Culpeper and Allie Huff of Front Royal; sistersin-law, Barbara Perry of Culpeper, Louise Mills of Huntley, and Shirley Huff of Front Royal; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, George H. Jenkins and Nelson Jenkins; his mother and father-in-law, Sidney R. and Cora Perry; and a brother and sister-inlaw, Clyde and Kitty Perry. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 11, from 8 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 12, at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post 330 and V.F.W. Post 2524. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA), P.O. Box 451429, Atlanta, GA, 31145-9429. Annie, I was so sorry to hear that Frank had passed on. Frank was a friend an a good man to work for. When you got to work everyday you didn't know if you were going to work or turn in a leave slip and go to the races because he had a HOT TIP On a horse. He had many friends and will be missed by all. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help at this time.
