JO BARTON Obituary

Jo Ann Barton, 90 of Coppell, TX, passed away peacefully February 7, 2024. She was born in Omaha, TX on January 13, 1934. Jo Ann graduated from Sunset High School. She married Travis Barton Jr. on March 20, 1965 and they shared a beautiful life together.

Jo Ann was a Secretary at Mutual of Omaha for 20 years and an amazing homemaker, mother and grandmother for her family. She was also very active in her community, often volunteering as a member of PTA and very involved in the First Baptist Church.

When she wasn't taking care of her family or volunteering in community projects she enjoyed her many hobbies which included fishing, ceramics, cards and dominoes, gambling, walking with friends, sewing, knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by Nancy Barton Childs (daughter); Mike Barton (Stepson) and wife Kathy Barton; Grandchildren: Brant McKnight, Ashley McKnight; Holly Barton; Sarah Childs and Bennett Childs. Preceded in death by Lisa Barton Mascorro (Stepdaughter).

Her funeral services will be held at Rolling Oaks Memorial in Coppell on Monday, February 12 at 11am with visitation preceding at 10am.
