DAVID OWEN MURRAY Obituary
He was born August 21, 1969, in Duplin County and was the son of the late George Scott and Tappy Jean Herring Murray. He was also predeceased by his sister, Suzanne Klimczak.
David was a member of Rose Hill Fire Department and Rose Hill Baptist Church. Being an avid hunter, he was an active member of Duplin County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
Surviving are his wife, Heather Lynn Cherry Murray of the home; his sons, Owen Scott Murray and Avery Wayne Murray of the home; nephew, Matthew Klimczak; special friends, Tony and Judy Cavenaugh; numerous aunts and uncles and his duck hunting dog, Trigger.
Memorial service will be 6:00 pm Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Rose Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Kinlaw and the Rev. Blake Dempsey officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening immediately following the memorial service until 8:00 pm at Rose Hill Baptist Church.
Memorial gifts may be given to Benefit Fund for the children of David O. Murray. Contributions can be made at any BB& T branch.

David and I shared a unique relationship as cousins. I really did not get to know him well until later years, but he was there whenever I needed to talk with him. We shared experiences, family tales, and loved each other in a special way. It meant the world to Katie and I to have the family at our wedding and share that special moment with us.
