DIANA LOUISE CAMERON GRAHAM Diana Louise Cameron Graham of Wilmington, North Carolina died peacefully at Lower Cape Fear Hospice on January 6, 2018. Louise was born in Wilmington on August 21, 1946 to the late Bruce Barclay Cameron, Jr. of Wilmington, NC and the late Mary Vail Boland of Santa Barbara, CA. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Cameron Hoey, and her brother, Bruce Barclay Cameron III. She is survived by her husband, Adair McKoy Graham, children, Rachel Graham Fanning of Wilmington, Adair McKoy Graham, Jr. and wife, Peryn, of Wilmington, Jean Graham Keller and husband, Connor, of Wilmington, Hilda Graham Harder and husband, Jay, of Alexandria, VA, and 8 grandchildren: Henry Vail Fanning, Adair McKoy Graham III, Charles Pattison Graham II, Elizabeth Banning Graham, Callie Cameron Keller, Jean McKoy Keller, Diana McLean Keller, all of Wilmington, and Mary Vail Harder of Alexandria, VA. She is also survived by her sister, Jane Cameron Sullivan of Wilmington, sisters Mara Phillips Boland and Lisa Loch Schwan, brother, Alan Edward Boland, and niece Diana Boland Burt, all of Santa Barbara, CA, aunt Rachel Cameron Camp of Wilmington, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. After graduating from Vardell Hall in 1965, Louise attended Stratford College in Virginia, graduating in 1969. Louise volunteered much of her time and love to the Catherine Kennedy Home, and she also served on the Board of Trustees of the North Carolina Museum of Art. For many years, she served as a member of the Ministering Circle where she co-edited a revision of the organization's cookbook, Cape Fear- Still Cooking. Louise felt very connected to her Arizona and California heritage and always enjoyed telling stories passed down to her of her great grandfather, Walter Lenox Vail, and family. Louise was most proud of her children and grandchildren, and her love for them brought the greatest joy to her life. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her compassion and kindness, her love of animals, her strength, her incredible sense of humor and her passion for cooking and entertaining. The family would like to express gratitude to Queen Esther James and Judy Ann Murray for the care, love, friendship and support they gave to Louise over many years. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10 at 11:00 at St. James Episcopal Church with the Reverend Ronald G. Abrams officiating. Interment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will be at her home on Tuesday, January 9 from 4:00 until 6:00. I was so sorry to of the passing of Louise. I live in Southport and saw the obituary in the StarNews. I think of you both often and remember the good times we had way back when in Greensboro. With deepest sympathy,
