Kathleen Belisle Obituary

KATHLEEN BELISLE Kathleen Belisle, 73, of Wilmington, died peacefully Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Born September 20, 1942 in Elliott Lake, ON, Canada to the late John and Audrey Stevenson. She is preceded in death by her husband J. Michael Belisle and daughter, Christine C. Dominguez. Kathy spent many years in Montreal where she raised her three children and volunteered her time teaching those with Down Syndrome. Moving to Darien CT in the early eighties, she worked at Brinks Security. After spending summer vacations in Wilmington she and her husband fell in love with the area and retired there. Kathy became an active member in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She also loved to spend her time on the golf course with the girls. Kathy is remembered as a loving sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her son, Mike J. Belisle (Jose) of Nanaimo, BC, CAN; her daughter, M. Kay Belisle-Rutkowski (Glenn) new residents of Wilmington; her grandson, who was like a son, Joseph Dominguez of Stamford, CT; her brother, Robert Stevenson of Sudbury, ON, CAN; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A mass of resurrection will be at 9:00 am Monday, December 14, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc.
