Frederick Weixel Obituary

Frederick Jay Weixel (Fritz), 65, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at his home at Saersha Farm, Elgin, Texas.

He was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Francis Weixel and Bernardine Weixel, and his brother Christopher Weixel.

He is survived by sister Joan Hardy (George), Elgin TX, brother Creighton Weixel, Paige TX, sister Melissa Schumer (Barry), Charlotte, NC, and sister-in-law Mary Ella McBrearty, San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews: Erin, Anne, Margaret, Lindsay, Justin, Kyle, Declan, Ava, Connor, Skyler, Dylan, Colin, Carolina, and Jack.

Fritz graduated from Churchill HS in San Antonio and TSTI in Waco. He had a long career in Information Technology including roles with PAM Computing, Frost Bank, and Alamo Title. His work allowed him to travel around the country and to Europe. He ultimately retired to Saersha Farm where he tended the horses, the fowl and his cats.

Fritz's favorite get-away was West Texas, where he once got to meet Hallie Stillwell (1897-1997). Some of his ashes will be out there. His sports loyalty was always the Green Bay Packers. To honor Fritz, make a trip to Big Bend or make a donation to the American Diabetes Association.
