Glen Weise Obituary

Glen Dee Weise passed away on Sunday, June 22 after a brief illness. Born at St David's Hospital on September 10, 1936, to Mildred Frances Glenn and Glen Joseph Weise, he was a native Austinite as was his family before him.

He was married to his best friend and devoted wife Nancy. They would have celebrated sixty-one years of marriage on June 26. Their life was filled with joy, love, and unwavering support for each other and their family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Kathleen, and his uncle Herman "Buddy" Weise with whom he shared a close bond of friendship and many happy years at their cherished place on Lake Travis.

He is survived by Nancy, daughter Jennifer Weise Woodard and husband Shayne, son Chris, and beloved grandchildren Chap and Ava Rose Newton. He is also survived by brother Billy Wade Weise and sister Frances Weise Robbins as well as their families.

Our Papa was a humble, gentle, and kind man of tremendous integrity. His patient, steadfast support of his family ensured that we lived every day of our lives knowing that he loved us unconditionally.

A private family service is planned. The family will welcome friends for a Celebration of Life reception on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Weed Corley Fish Parkcrest in Austin, Texas.

Nancy & Chris,
I was so sorry to hear about your loss. Glenn was certainly a wonderful mentor to myself and many other young men growing up in Northwest Hills. He will be remembered fondly by myself and my family.

Dear Nancy,
My heart goes out to you. Although we have not been in touch throughout the years, I have so many fond "old friends " memories. Amor and I have been married for nearly 66 years so I can only imagine the void in your heart right now. I know it's inevitable at our age to realize that one of us will be alone in the not too distant future. But hopefully a lifespan of wonderful memories and a close family will bring you great comfort. Please know that you will be in our prayers.
