Kevin McCoy Obituary



Kevin Clare (KC) McCoy Feb. 23, 1958 - Oct. 22, 2007 KC was born in Denver, Colo. At time of death, he was living in Manistee, MI. He was always full of fun with an infectious smile. He graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Co. with a degree in marketing and had his own catalog business for many years. He was a very caring, sensitive man, always ready to lend a helping hand. His greatest joy was visiting with his three children, Christopher, David and Jessica, who survive him, and next came fishing! KC also enjoyed participating in many other sports, including skiing and tennis. While in high school, he and his doubles partner advanced to the semi-finals of Colorado's high school state championship KC was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Orville Benwell and Madeline Foster and paternal grandparents, Lois and B.F. McCoy. Besides his children, survivors include his companion of several years; Cindy Bell of Manistee; mother, Shirley Hurt of Austin; father and step-mother, Bill and Marva McCoy of Bentonville, AR; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Merri McCoy of Dallas; brother, Steven Hampton of Houston; step-brothers, Jim, Michael and Tom Gee; step-sisters, Pamela Lewis and Jerri Gee; great-aunt, Bonnie McCoy Taylor of Austin; uncle, Michael Bullard and numerous nieces, nephew and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2007 in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to The American Heart Assn. or The American Diabetes Assn.. http://www.mem.com
