Brent MacDonald Obituary
Brent James MacDonald courageously fought the battle of brain cancer for several years and at age 49, passed away February 23, 2022 at his home in Vancouver, WA. He is now resting in Jesus until the Resurrection Day when we all will be together again. 1 Thessalonians 4:16.
Brent was born on March 4th 1972 in Van Nuys, CA, the son of Albert Ja and Glennis L MacDonald of Colville, WA.
Brent's younger years were spent in CA. The family moved to Colville, WA in 1986 when Brent was 13 years old. He attended and graduated from Colville High School in 1991. Brent loved music, singing in Jazz choir, and playing guitar. Brent had a passion for collecting guitars and acquired an impressive collection over the years.
Brent attended Eastern Washington University and graduated with a Sociology degree. He worked for the DNR fire fighting each summer to support his college expenses. Brent and Rebecca Lopez met in college and were married in 1999 and resided in Spokane Washington.
They moved to Vancouver WA, pursuing their careers. Brent went to work for Clark County Juvenile Detention as correction office. At the present time was the Facility Administrator at the detention center. Rebecca works for the evergreen School District as a Junior High Math Teacher.
Brent was a loving and caring husband and father. His children were his cherished possessions. He insured that they had every opportunity to grow in their education, music and sports. His children reflect these efforts.
Brent had such a pleasing personality. He was kind, caring and out-going. He had a humorous side that was entertaining and infectious. Everyone that met him would remember him. Brent was a man of many talents, and we are blessed to have had him in our lives for 49 short years.
Brent is survived by his wife Rebecca, son Kaden, 3 daughters Kylie Paige, Madison, Macie of Vancouver, WA, Father Albert, Mother Glennis, of Colville, brother Chad of Spokane Valley and Grandparents Sherman and Myrna Rickard, of College Place Washington.
Services for Brent were held on March 26, 2022 in Vancouver Washington at the Real Life Church where family and friends attended a "Celebration of Life"
