Patricia Richardson Obituary

Patricia Jay "Pat" Richardson, 75, entered into eternal rest April 4, 2018 while residing in the Memory Care unit at Brookdale Senior Living Center in St. Augustine. She passed peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Pat was born on July 19, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio to Earl Jay and Nancy Jane Combs. Her family moved to Tampa in 1958. While working part time at W.T. Grant department store, she met the love of her life and future husband. After living in several West Central Florida communities, she settled with her husband and two daughters in St. Augustine in July of 1976.
She turned a love for antiques into a thriving business as proprietor of Country Store Antiques and Mercantile, a St. Augustine staple for 25 years. In addition to her antique store, she was involved in several outside hobbies. She was a longtime member and president of the St. Augustine Needler's Guild. Pat was also an avid basket artisan, showing her work at art and craft shows throughout the Southeast, winning many awards and accolades.
She was an amazing mother and Grammie, empowering her children and grandchildren to achieve whatever their hearts dreamed. "Go for it!"
Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Col. (Ret) Cornelius William "Neil" Richardson Jr. of St. Augustine, her daughter Janice and husband Dan Robertson of Oviedo, daughter Lesa and husband Mike Manfredo of St. Augustine, grandchildren Daniel Robertson of Washington, D.C., Michael and wife Shailey Manfredo of Jacksonville, Victoria Robertson of Oviedo, great-grandchildren Michael and Mason Manfredo of Jacksonville, and brother Thomas Shade "Shad" Combs of St. Augustine. She is also survived by Aunt Jo K. Strong of Tampa and her extended family. She will also be greatly missed by her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, GiGi.
She will be interred in San Lorenzo Cemetery, St. Augustine, in a private service. Flowers are gratefully declined. Anyone wishing to honor her memory may make a donation in her name to any National Alzheimer's research organization.
