Thomas Paul Griesel, 57, passed away Aug.12, 2007, his wife by his side. Tom was born in Winona, Minn., leaving home at age 17 to enter the Army. A proud member of the 2-1 CAV, Tom served in Vietnam '68-'69. During his career with Northrop Grumman in Los Angeles and St. Augustine, Tom worked as a toolmaker, manager and engineer.
Survivors include the love of his life, his wife Suzanne; son, TJ; daughters, Brittany and Kalie; step-children Steven (Amy) Wolin and Sharon (Michael) Lo; parents Paul and Ellie; sister Jane (Ronnie) Dietrich.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to DAV Memorial Program, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 or call 1.877.426.2838, ext. 3302. A celebration of Tom's life will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Craig Funeral Home, 1475 Old Dixie Hwy, St. Augustine. Burial will be in Maryland and a memorial marker will be placed at Ft. Snelling Veterans Cemetery in Minneapolis next month.
