Thomas Morrison, 64, of Madison Lake, Minn., died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at Mayo Clinic Health System Ñ Mankato.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato, Minn. Interment will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minn. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Benchs Riverside Regional Pet Shelter in Mankato or any other no-kill humane society.
Luther Thomas Morrison was born Jan. 22, 1947, in Minneapolis to Lawrence and Phyllis (Van Camp) Morrison. Tom was a 1965 graduate of Mound High School. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Following his service, Tom attended San Jose State University. He was united in marriage to Linda Anderson in Hawaii in 1969. Tom later married Jackie Stahle in 1989 in the Virgin Islands. He was employed as an international sales manager for Trail King Industries in Mitchell, S.D., and retired in 2005. Tom enjoyed traveling, sailing, music and playing guitar.
Tom is survived by his two step-sons, Ryan (Nicole) Stahle of Mitchell, S.D., and Brett Stahle of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four step-grandchildren, Atlanta and Hunter Stahle, Kylle Mills, and Marilia Stahle; one sister, Kitty (Cy) Ehalt of St. Michael, Minn.; one brother, Lawrence E. Morrison of Chanhassen, Minn.; five nephews, Mark, Scott, Troy, and Jason Ehalt, and Tony Morrison; and his beloved dog, Scooter. He was preceded in death by his parents.
