Daniel W. Bohm

Of Plover died Friday morning, September 26, 2014 as a result of an auto accident in Oneida County.

Age 54 Dan was born April 18, 1960 in Stevens Point. He was the son of Shirley (Freeman) Bohm-Horn of Mercer, WI and the late Emil Bohm. He attended local schools in Stevens Point and SPASH High School, and earned his Automotive Gas Engine Degree from Mid-State.

Dan worked with his brother Dennis for over 20 years at Sports Specialties in Stevens Point. Dan was currently working for Veritas Steel LILV of Wausau and also owned and operated Dan Bohm Sports LLC. in Plover.

Dan was an avid softball player and played for Carol and Shorty's State Championship team and for Horns Cabins in Mercer winning numerous Softball Invitational Tournaments up north. Dan enjoyed the outdoors and hunting and loved the Green Bay Packers.

In Lieu of flowers a memorial in Dan's name will be established at a later date.

He is survived by his mother Shirley Bohm-Horn of Mercer, two Brothers Dennis (Donna) Bohm of Stevens Point and William "Bill" (Debra) Bohm of Mercer, WI, and two Sisters Linda (Eugene) Janke of Black River Falls, WI and Patricia Bohm of Mercer, WI. and numerous nieces and nephews

Further survived by Step Siblings Susan, Barbara, Diane Sandra and Richard Horn. Dan was preceded in death by his father Emil in 1994.

Funeral Services will be at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point. Family and friends may call after 3:00P.M. Thursday until the time of services. Private family burial will take place at a later date in Mercer, WI. The Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family. Dan sat in front of me at Lambeau field. "Danny's" presence will be sadly missed as was the case when we and the rest of us in section 107 found out at the Packer Panther game Oct 19th. God Bless you Dan and as he would say, "Throw da bomb!

Aunt Shirley and family, Danny was a very special person and I know I don't have to tell you that, he always ....always had a smile on his face and we had our own little joke between us..... didn't get to see him enough, but treasure those times we did...he will be missed by many, my heart breaks for this is all wrong....

Waaaaaaaaaaay to soon to be losing a life long friend like Danny Bohm, but the way I have it figured is that Vince Lombardi needed a defensive coordinator and Danny always said he would be the man for the job and that he should be the coach anyways, We sure will miss going and watching Packer games with him, we have so many fond memories of Danny that I could still be typing for a week, Rest in Peace my dear friend and GO PACK GO !!!!!!!!!!!
One final thought only Danny would have this day planned when all his friends came to see him on a Packers game day so he could cheer on the Packers with us one more time.

How all the memories we have of Danny we couldn't of asked for a better friend, we will miss him a lot I do remember one special day when he worked at the sport shop with his brother and carol and shorty's team order jackets and he said we need to get are daughter one and he put the nick name stubby on it and the smile on her face when he gave that coat to her,precious and she still has it maybe some day her child will wear that coat Danny was always doing nice things for people. we will miss him dearly Love Mike and Karen Dudeck
