Winneconne - Edward A. Loskot, age 92, and Cecelia E. Loskot, age 88, of Winneconne, both died at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh; Eddie on January 3, 2021, and Ceil on January 6, 2021.

Eddie was born July 29, 1928, in Marathon, Wisconsin to the late Jerome and Pauline (Meyer) Loskot. He served his country during the Korean War in the 9th Regiment of the 2nd Infantry Division as a Corporal in the U.S. Army. Eddie earned the Bronze Star because of his duty as a jeep driver transporting important Army personnel, usually under enemy fire and at times on nearly impassable treacherous roads.

Ceil was born February 2, 1932, in Marathon to the late Thomas and Clara (Weilock) Stencil.

On September 1, 1952, Eddie and Ceil were married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marathon. After they were married, they moved to Milwaukee, the St. Francis area, for work. During the '60s, they owned and operated Ed and Ceil's Tap in Milwaukee. After that they worked various manufacturing jobs. In 1980, Eddie and Ceil moved to Waupaca and they both worked as custodians for the Amherst School District. They moved to Winneconne in 2018.

Eddie's hobbies included woodworking, playing the piano and accordion, and he enjoyed Ceil's homemade bakery, as much as she would allow.

Ceil was a hard worker who enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, and baking.

Eddie and Ceil are survived by their children, Sandy (Dennis) Troppman, of Milwaukee; Sue (Gary) Bjornstad, of Oak Creek; Tom (Chandarose) Loskot, of Winneconne; grandchildren, Craig (Katie) Troppman, Kevin Troppman, Lisa (Jason) Morgan, Amy (Adnan) Plavulj, Deion Loskot (Emily), Dylan Loskot; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jack Troppman, Caden and Brynn Morgan, Kira and Maci Plavulj. Eddie is also survived by a sister, Elaine (Louie) Thibault. Ceil is also survived by a brother and a sister, LaVern (Joanie) Stencil, Marcella Kettell.

Along with his parents, Edward was also preceded in death by a brother, a sister-in-law, and sister, Jerry and Barbara Loskot, Diane Heitkemper; and a son-in-law, Mike Barna. Along with her parents, Cecelia was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tony Kettell; and a son-in-law, Mike Barna.

Cremation has taken place and a funeral Mass will be held at a later date, with interment at the Central Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in King, Wisconsin. Mueller Funeral Home-Winneconne is assisting the family with arrangements.

The family wishes to thank everyone who has expressed their condolences, and the staffs of Mercy Medical Center and Evergreen at Home for their quality of care provided to Eddie and Ceil.

Sorry to hear of Ed and Ceil’s passing. We were friends and neighbors when they lived in Evergreen Hills before moving to Waupaca. I also did some work for them, on their home.
