Alan Buncher Obituary

Alan H. Buncher, 78, of Gorham, Maine, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024. He led a well-lived life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Buncher of Gorham, ME, and his large family of Seth & Kathryn Buncher of Woodstock, NY, Marc & Kristen Buncher of Southlake, TX, Jeff Mueller of Crestwood, MO, Mike & Carrie Mueller of Chesterfield, MO, Jen Anastos of Plymouth, MA, and Michelle & Craig Gwinn of Newfields, NH. Alan was also a cherished grandfather of fourteen.

Alan grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and had a fulfilling career in journalism, including many fruitful years at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. His commitment to his profession was unwavering and his dedication left a lasting impact on those around him.

A Memorial Service welcoming friends and family will be held on June 7th from 10-11AM at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church at 114 Main Street in Kennebunk, ME. There will also be a gathering for friends and family from 11AM-12PM in the Parish Hall.
