We are saddened to hear that our wonderful Monsignor Voss has left us to be with God. It was much too soon.
In relocating to Florida, we have continued to miss him and St. Henry Church.
His personality was bigger than life..his hearty laugh was contagious..he had that special recipe for the fish fry (my husband, Norm, was a breader) and it appeared to be as well guarded as that of KFC! He will be greatly missed!
Our condolences to his family, especially our former pastor, Fr. Dennis Voss, whom we loved at St.Albert's Church years ago. We will keep all of you in our prayers...please keep us in yours.

We were members of St Henry's Parish. During that time my daughter and sons received their first communion from Fr.Voss. And my sons enjoyed serving mass with Fr Voss as well.
And 20 years later my son found his future wife Fr.Voss married them.
He is remebered by this parishonor as a kind, full of life, compasionate, loving minister of service to other's. His patience and sense of humor was enviable.
There have been many priest in my life through the years. Fr Voss was the face and voice that will alway's be remembered with fond memories and respect.
Fr Voss may you now receive the blessings that you have given to so many of us.

Monsignor Voss was such an influence and positive roll model for the youth in CYO. His humor, understanding and guidance impacted many youths and I'm proud to be able to call him my friend. My life is much richer now because of your influence. Our world is such a better place because of you. Rest in peace my friend.

Father Voss came into our store in Cahokia for paint many times when he served at St. Katherine's perish. He was always busy painting something at the church. He always had a big smile and a very pleasant way about him. You could not help but like him. His love for God showed in his words and his kind deeds.
Rest in peace Father Voss in the arms of Jesus.

Fr. Voss was one of the best people I knew. I have been a lifelong member of St. Henry's and it seems like he has always been here. Always there to lend a hand, give advice or to say a prayer with. He has been a big part of my family's lives as well. He officiated many of our weddings, the funerals for my mom, dad, oldest brother and grandparents, baptized my kids and the list goes on.
Our prayers go to his family. He will be missed by many. He was loved by many.

God Bless You Father Voss.

When I think of Father Voss, I get a smile on my face. What a funny, sincere, thoughtful, and spiritual man!
He counseled my husband and myself when we were preparing for marriage. My husband, not being Catholic, didn't know what to expect during our first meeting with Father Voss. His great since of humor and honesty made my husband very comfortable. We have since moved but, still talk about Father Voss with found memories.
May you enjoy your heavenly rose garden and thank God for sending us You.

My parents were lifelong parishoners of St. Henry's. Msgr. Voss was an integral part of my life. He officiated my wedding, my daughter's baptism, my parent's 50th wedding anniversary and both my parent's funerals. A little over a year ago, he drove to a nursing home in Mascoutah on a cold winter night, to administer the Last Rites to my father. I will also remember his infectious laugh, and his inclusiveness. May he rest in peace.
