Bessie Tellios Obituary

Tellios, Bessie 67, of St. Petersburg, FL died October 18, 2010 in Greece. Beloved wife 49 years, Steve Tellios. Dear mother to Efthemios (Maria) and Dimitrios (Stephanie); loving grandmother to Steven and Demi; dear sister to Roula, Leta, Freda, George and Effie. Preceded in death by her parents, Eleni and Vasilios. Bessie was born in Droumades, Northern Greece and immigrated to the United States in 1947. Over the years she resided in Detroit, MI, St. Louis, MO and Patra Greece. In 1998 she moved to St. Petersburg, FL to be near her children and grandchildren. Family traditions and values were most important to her life. She unselfishly sacrificed her needs to care for her family. She loved to cook and spoil her family with wonderful meals and baked treats. She enjoyed life and was a friend to all her knew her and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Services: There will be a visitation from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 24th at Anderson-McQueen, 2201 Dr. MLK St. N. with a Trisagion at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 25th at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 409 Old Coachman Rd., Clearwater, FL 33765. Burial will follow at Curlew Hills Cemetery. Donations may be made in her name to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
