Jack Allen Obituary

Allen, Jack F. Born Aug. 2, 1932, died peacefully July 31, at age 81. Beloved husband of Yvonne Bohac Allen; loving father of Sandra Allen (Chris) Padgett, David Chandler Allen, Richard Cutler (Missy) Allen, and Thomas Glenn (Deborah) Allen; loving stepfather to Aric and Sean Akbani; dear brother of Jane Louise (Bruce) Kenamore; grandfather to Drew, Tim, Matthew, Jonathan, Sarah, Emily, Gus, Sophie and Jack. A retired Navy Captain and wellrespected lawyer for 55 years, he was a tireless advocate for all his clients, his practice faithfully assisted by Lois Brandemeyer. Jack is remembered for his bow ties, sharp mind, dry wit, high standards, joy over his children's success, but above all, his big heart. Services: Visitation 2-6 p.m. Aug. 10, BOPP Chapel, 10610 Manchester; funeral 10 a.m. Aug. 11, Grace Episcopal Church, 514 E. Argonne; burial to follow at Jeff. Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Luke's Hospital, Office of Development, 232 S. Woods Mills Rd., 63017.

He always stood for those wronged, even if threatened. He believed in the law and was an outstanding example of how officers of the Court should be. He was there for others in need when no one was. He is missed every day.

Oh my Lord I just found out about the passing of Atty Jack F Allen my heart was so sad. Atty Allen was my atty and I told him about a situation. You would have thought I was his daughter. He closed that office and we walked to the situation together he stood up for me in that situation. I never saw aanything like it. he wasn't afraid of anything. Hr stood for fairnesd honesty and truth. I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with my family. He treated me like family. God bless you all
