Beloved husband of Nida Butz; loving father to Kim Metzger and Greg Butz; father-in-law to Kim Tweedale Butz and Steve Metzger; step-grandfather to Rachel, Matt and Sarah Beth.
James (Jim) Butz was born in La Crosse, IN., and was in sales at Pavyer Printing Machine Works for 20 years.Services: Visitation at Forever Bellerive Chapel, 740 North Mason Rd., Creve Coeur, 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society. Interment in Ohio.

There is a man here in Florida who is also dying of Cancer. He said one night,"I want to die with dignity and aplomb." When he said it I thought of Jim. Many of us who knew Jim were struck by his dignity and courage. He has been a lession to me as well as a wonderful friend. I miss him.
