Friendship -- Someone once said, "The glue that holds civilization together." Jim Warnhoff was a friend extrordinaire. I do not recall the first meeting of we two nearly 50 years ago, but there was instant rapport. Over the years I have met Alice and Joe, and heard about others in the family. Our friendship was all inclusive: One for the other, yet there was no demand on each other -- we were just friends! In my 89th year, I recently looked back on a list compiled in the '60s of people who had a decided impact on my life. Among the list was the name, "Jim Warnhoff," and the list grows shorter. Jim, you are missed. To Alice and Joe, and the others -- my heart grieves with you.

My family (the Costello sisters) and I are deeply saddened to learn of your Dad's sudden death. He was a delightful, funny, bright man who never shied from responsibilities and who cared very much for his family. You were fortunate to have him in your lives for so long and you will miss him. Treasure the memories. Hello to Sally. Much love. (Aunt Pat's sister)
