Nicholas Coppola Obituary

Coppola, Nicholas Michael 24, died in Lincoln County after being reported as missing on December 20, 2010. He was born on September 11, 1986, in Florissant, Missouri. His parents are Eugene and Petronella Coppola of Weldon Spring. Nicholas was a senior at the University of Missouri, where he studied economics. He enjoyed travel and the German club, and he was an expert computer gamer. His sense of humor was his trademark along with his easygoing personality. He had a smile that made you smile too. His parents, Eugene and Petronella, his brother, Joseph, and his grandmothers, Denise Ruskus and Rosalie Coppola, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins, survive Nicholas. His grandfathers, Jacobus Ruskus and Tony Coppola, and his uncle, Leo Ruskus, predeceased Nicholas. The family welcomes friends and relatives to attend a memorial on September 10, 2011, at 5:00 p.m. at Weldon Spring City Hall and Park, 5401 Independence Road, Weldon Spring, Missouri. Pastor Lauren Quagliata will officiate. Nicholas worked summers at Weldon Spring City Hall, where an oak tree will be planted in his honor. Memorial donations can be made via www.helpfindnick.com. Proceeds will be used to continue efforts to improve procedures to help find missing adults. The family thanks the many volunteers for their countless hours, prayers, and tireless efforts to help find Nick. Nicholas, in 24 short years, you touched so many lives! We love you always.

I've never had a friend who's mind resonated so closely with mine before. You always put others before yourself and would never hesitate to help a friend in need. I appreciate your assistance from when we studied german and calc together, your constant reliablity, and most of all, your friendship. We had some good times, man, and I wish I would have known you longer. I believe everything happens for a reason. You always had such a positive energy about you, that I'm sure you're in a great place now. May peace be with both you and your family. "I'll see you in another life, when we are both cats."

Surely this was not the outcome we all expected or wanted. May the angels wrap wings of comfort around you and may God grant you peace in the knowledge that he is with Him. With hopes that we will all continue to work together to advocate for the missing and their families. Marki Davis.

Gene, Nellie and Joe, Our hearts lay very heavily with the passing of our Nick. There are so many things in life that we cannot understand, but we must trust God's judgment and be guided by His hand.

When we seen Nick last September we were impressed by what a fine young man Nick had become. Nick was a man of strength and compassion, he brought happiness wherever he went. The world lost a very special person and will never be able to fill the void that is left behind.
Be strong and do his spirit the honor of carrying on his legacy of undiminished joy and passion.
Peace, prayers and blessings,
Love,

J. Hartmann
