Earlier today
I meet Rita and Duane years ago while being a member of the St Louis track club. She helped me at every race she and Duane came too. There was no better volunteer than Rita. She loved all the runners and was a great cheerleader. She was Duane's biggest cheerleader. I have not seen her in years and I just want the family to know how much she was loved and appreciated. Love to Duane always.

To Rita’s family,
Your beautiful obituary for Rita captured her prayer warrior spirit and the person we all knew and loved.
Rita prayed for everyone she knew and for many she never even met.
For many years Rita joined the weekly Thursday night rosary group at Most Sacred Heart Church. Her joy and devotion to praying the rosary and praying for all the special intentions was inspiring.
May her family know how much we loved and cherished her devotion, her joyful personality and friendship.

Aunt Rita, you leave behind a beautiful legacy of love, strength, and generosity that will continue to guide your loved ones. Though we will all miss you deeply, I take comfort in knowing you now have the best seat in the house to watch over us. Your memory will forever live on in our hearts, and your spirit will always be with us. XXX OOO Kim & Phil

Rita will be forever missed. It's through her that I was able to get to know her and her grown children and many of her grandkids and great grandchildren. I unfortunately wasn't able to meet her until the sidewalk along North Street in Eureka was put in (around the years 2011-2012. I also appreciate being invited to one of her birthdays at Sacred Heart. I also have too many more memories to share here. I'll deeply and gratefully miss her and all the times I spent visiting, helping, and inviting her to my church's (Central Baptist Church) just down the road from her house on Virginia Avenue. Life truly won't be the same without her. I'm thankful and grateful for all the memories.
