Karl Haugen Obituary
Karl was born April 16, 1984, in Zumbrota to Harris and Heidi (Peterson) Haugen. He was a 2002 graduate of Kenyon-Wanamingo High School. Karl attended the Law Enforcement Program at Alexandria Technical College and received his Bachelor's Degree from Mankato State University.
Over the years, Karl was employed at the St. Peter State Hospital, the MN Correctional Facility - Faribault, and Henderson Police Department. He had been an officer at the Le Sueur Police Department for the last 13 years.
Karl was united in marriage to Morgan Anderson on July 10, 2021, in South Haven. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially ice fishing, hunting, camping with his family, riding his motorcycle, and playing cornhole with his eldest son.
Karl is survived by his wife, Morgan Anderson; children, Griffin (9), Aurora (4), and Teddy (1); parents, Harris and Heidi Haugen of Kenyon; two brothers, Anders (Adriana) Haugen of Wayzata and Mikkel (Gabbi) Haugen of St. Peter; grandfather, Franklin Peterson of Kenyon; also many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Olaf Haugen, Richard and Hazel Brandvold, and Beverly Peterson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 31, 2025, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenyon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Please wear your favorite summer clothes and children are welcome. We will be remembering Karl in joy and love. Memorials are preferred to Friends of the Boundary Waters (https://www.friends-bwca.org). Arrangements are with Michaelson Funeral Home of Kenyon.
