Ocean Springs, Mississippi - Neal Edward Bush, Sr. went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.
He was 81 years old. Neal was born in La Ceiba, Honduras on September 4, 1941, to Edward A. and Lois McNab Bush.
During high school, Neal transferred to French Camp Academy located in French Camp, MS where he excelled in his studies and was the valedictorian his senior year. After graduation, Neal served in the United States Marine Corp for 3 years and later attended Mississippi State University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Neal married the love of his life, whom he met at French Camp, and settled down in Ocean Springs, MS. He worked at Keesler Air Force Base as a civil service employee until his retirement. Neal was a longstanding member of Big Ridge Baptist Church where he previously served as a Deacon and on various committees. His hobbies included tennis, soccer, photography, and woodworking.
Neal was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Joan Bush and Judy Bush Salazar.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Ann Tenhet Bush; their children, Neal Edward "Eddie" (Karen) Bush, Jr. and Joel (Jessica) Bush; grandchildren, Lori Anne (Kyle) Cheke, Samantha (Tyler) Taylor, Sarah Bush, Ethan Bush, and Xander Bush; great-grandson, Charlie Cheke; brother, Walter Teitje (Sharon) Bush, Sr.; sister, Cherie (Tom) Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023, at 11:00 am at Big Ridge Baptist Church, 3230 Big Ridge Road, D'Iberville, MS with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Lemon Cemetery in Ocean Springs, MS. Friends are welcome to fellowship with the family afterwards at Big Ridge Baptist Church.
