George Siegbert Schmidt

Schmidt Schmidt, George Siegbert, 93, passed away on October 8, 2007. He was a WWII hero with bronze and silver stars; past president of Oakland Jewish Center, Bayside, N.Y., coached little league, was cub scout master, loved tennis, bowling, and gin rummy. He was a partner in Schmidt Dental Supply for thirty years with his brother, Charles Schmidt. A devoted husband, survived by sons Mark and his wife Celia, Sam and his wife Amanda; grandfather to Justin and his wife Marisa, Jed, Ben, and Sally; great-grandfather to Jacob and Shayna. George was a man of great charm, loyalty, and affection. He will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services Wed. Oct. 10, 12:30 pm at Menorah Gardens, 21100 W.
