Michael Pollack Obituary

Pollack, Michael, 47, of Boca Raton, FL passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 9, 2006. He was the adoring husband of Shari Pollack, and cherished father to his children, Robert (Nina), Colby, Zachary and Spencer. He was the honored son of Elliott and Sarah Pollack, Brooklyn, NY and Iris and Charlie Edelstein, Delray Beach, FL, devoted brother to Hedy (Lloyd) Schoenberg and Gloria (Si) Belsky, loving brother-in-law of Robin and Lee Milich and endeared uncle of Melissa and Jordan, Michelle (Jason), Jeffrey, Cheryl, Brett, and Asher (Andrea) and Leorah (Yisroel), and great-nephews and nieces. Michael was raised in Brooklyn, NY where he developed childhood friendships that lasted his entire lifetime. When Shari wanted to relocate to Florida, he moved his young family to Boca Raton to make her happy. Michael loved to indulge his wife Shari's wishes and desires and together they pursued many dreams. His crowning achievement was raising his wonderful children who he loved, adored and was always proud of. Even while his successful real estate career flourished with the Aventura-based developer Turnberry Associates, he always made time to coach his sons' basketball and football teams and attend each and every game of every sport that Colby, Zach and Spencer participated in. He filled his children's lives with countless memories and undying love as a prized coach, fan, cheerleader and sideline regular. Nothing was more important to Michael than his family. His favorite role was as a treasured husband to his wife Shari. He showered his wife with enough love to last forever. Michael was an adored partner, soul mate, and best friend to his wife and a beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He lived his life with a sense of humor, passion and zest. He would charm and entertain his lifelong friends, family, colleagues, and business associates. The twinkle in his eyes, his bright, warm smile, and singsong greetings revealed Michael's effervescent spirit and brightened the lives of everyone he touched. He was a man of outstanding character and principle. His sudden and untimely departure from his family leaves a hole in their lives that will never be filled. He will be deeply missed and treasured forever. The family will receive friends at home after the burial and until Wednesday. A family College Scholarship Fund has been set up for the children. Donations may be sent to Robin Millich, 6884 Queenferry Circle, Boca Raton, FL 33496.

Dear Robert -

We just heard about Dad and are absolutely devestated...if there was one good thing about working at AmElite, it was that you knew Michael would eventually call & put a smile on your face no matter what kind of day you were having. He was full of life & alot of good jokes, he will be missed. Please know our prayers & sympathies are with you and your family during this time.

Dear Family - I am a friend of Michaels thru Turnberry/Fontainebleau Condo and Hilton Hotels Corp. I met Michael approx 5 years ago when the codo units were being sold. He and I became instant friends and joked about all our favorite Brooklyn bakeries since food was always a big topic for us... A very rare personality that graced our world and left his mark on a select group of "lucky" individuals .. I know he is around us all the time and feel confident that if we look closely- we will feel his presence... I see that huge smile even now ! Michael would want you to be well, safe, healthy in mind and spirit -- please try as he watches over you each day until you meet again on the other side...

Shari,

Geoffrey and I were deeply saddened by the news of Michaels abrupt and untimely passing.

It has been many years since we lived in Florida around the corner from you at the Shores and Miss Et's class at the JCC for Alec and Zachary, but we remember Michael fondly and Michael's warmth and kindness that always greeted Alec when he came to your house. If I remember correctly, Michael got Alec to ride a bike with Zachary and did so many things with the boys that made it so fun to be together at such a young age.

Alec (even Griffin who was 3 when we moved back to NY!) still remembers and although we don't visit Florida as often as we should, he always asks about Zach and your family when we have talked about planning a trip or have come for a quick visit to his grandma. You all obviously made a lasting impression on him!

Please accept our sincerest condolences to you, Colby, Zachary, Spencer and your extended family.

We are so very sorry.

With love,

Debbi, Geoffrey, Alec and Griffin Goldberg
