To Peters Family,
You are all in our prayers at this time. Peter was the greatest guy...ever so much fun, handsome, charming & the life of the party! I had a birthday party 4 Jack filled our pool to the brim with balloons..after the fun began Peter disrobed and jumped in! Then the young maid joined in..Oh what fun he was. He was ever so sweet to me when I was young at his bars. He never missed one of our parties. Loved his monogramed shirts...always great colors & those eyes!

My mother Mary and I are so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. He and my father, Pep Scarchilli were cousins, and were very good friends years ago. Although I was only in Peter's company a few times, which I enjoyed truly enjoyed, Anthony, my uncle kept me well informed about your dad.
I know from experience, that there is nothing we can say or do to ease your pain, but I wanted to let you know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
If there is something I can do for you, please let me know.

Jeane,
I have fond memories of your dad and his gorilla's :-). I remember all the fun weekends at Petar's with you and Drose. I can picture a group of us teaching Maureen Stapleton (the actress) how to do the dance the “Bus Stop” at Petar's.
My sympathy to you and your family.

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. He was a childhood friend of my Dad's (Pic Delory,) who worked part-time bartending at Petar's during the '70's to help with college expenses for us. Dad died at 53 years old in 1982 and your father was so kind to our family...I will never forget that. My husband and I met at Petar's as well...great memories.
When I saw that beautiful picture of Pete...I smiled and thought about him and Pic toasting to being in heaven together.
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I had mentioned to my mother one day when I was home from college, that I would be home early that night as I was just going to have a couple of drinks with a mate of mine, at Peter's in Troy. She told me she knew Pete Sr. and had even had a couple of drinks with him in his bar when it was a 'speakeasy' during prohibition. She told me it was "the place" to go (RPI, Russell Sage, Union College students) which she was at the time. Who would have ever thought my mother would go into a bar, let alone a 'speakeasy'?! RIP Peter Simonian. You will be missed.

Such a good friend to my dad when they grew up together. And a great provider to the college students around Troy in the 60's, always snacks at Petar's when they would go there. Never paid for a soda there and frequented there on many weekends. He even sponsored our bowling league. A great guy to the young people of Troy. Rest in peace dear friend, not many like you.
