Christopher A. Bock passed away suddenly on November 8th, at 34 years old.
Chris was an angel on earth. Anyone who met him came away with a positive impact of their encounter. He would always go out of his way to help others. Chris had the bluest, kindest eyes, the warmest smile that would light up any room, and a heart of gold.
Chris was very loved, as he was the best husband, father, son, brother, friend and uncle. He loved spending time with his wife, Ashley and his two boys, Hunter and Gavin. They were his world. He also had a dog named Max that was his best friend, and they were inseparable. Chris loved fishing, skiing, and being outdoors and spending time with family and friends at the lake. He took pride in his home and worked hard to make it the forever home he and Ashley envisioned for their family. In his spare time, you could find Chris doing yardwork and perfecting the landscaping he was so talented at. He valued spending time together as a family, by making memories on our yearly trip to the Adirondacks, among other family vacations.
Chris graduated with a Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Oswego where he was a member of the fraternities Beta Alpha Psi and Beta Gamma Sigma. He received the High Scholastic Achievement award by the International Honor Society for Collegiate schools of business. Chris was an accomplished employee at the University of Rochester, where his compassion and dedication will be greatly missed. He quickly climbed the ladder, serving as Associate Director of Finance for the school of medicine and dentistry. Currently he was a Manager of Finance and Pharmacy. Chris and his wife Ashley opened the salon together in October of 2016. While people would see Chris helping out around the salon and keeping up the landscaping, what they didn't see was all the hard work and hours he put in leading a huge part of the operation behind the scenes of the business. In addition, Chris also was on the board for Advantage Federal Credit Union and would attend meetings monthly to help advise on finances
Chris will be greatly missed by many. He is survived by his loving wife, Ashley Bock; sons, Hunter and Gavin Bock; mother and father, Leslie (Spreter) and David Bock; mother and father in-in-law, Candice and Stephen Ezard; brother, David Bock; sister in-law, Megan Bock; brother and sister-in-laws, Steven & Teghan Diener, Brett and Tori Diener, Mariah Ezard, Brooke Ezard; nieces and nephews, Madelyn, Allison, William, River, Blakey and Gracelyn; aunts, uncles, cousins and loyal loving canine companion, Max.
Friends may call Sunday, November 19 from 2-5PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, November 20, 10:30AM at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 6591 Richmond Mills, Livonia, NY. Friends and family are encouraged to bring a written memory with a photo of Chris that will be put together in a memory book for his boys.
