Enough cant be said about you coach. You took young boys, and turned them into men, me being 1 of those men. My condolences are with the Johnson family, and my heart weeps. Please know, that Coach D.J. acheived a level of success that very few of will ever know or see in a lifetime, as true success is not measured by material items, nor money, but instead by the knowledge that is passed on to those whom are still present in this world. DJ passed his knowledge to me, as well as many others through his life, be it in the classroom, on the field, or in the church. He will be forever remembered by myself, as well as talked about, even though I am 1400 miles away, He made a huge positive impact on my life, and I know I am not the only 1. I pray that the Johnson/Byrd families know that his life, to me was a blessing, and that he is a true hero in my eyes... I could go on and on, but for now, I will just say, Hey Coach, the rest of the Tigers will be there to join you 1 day, and when we do, we know who our Coach is... Thank you, and may you Rest in Peace.... Jefferson County Tigers C/O 92

I had the pleasure of working with Donald Johnson at the District School Board of Jefferson County, Fl for many years. I saw Donnie as a kind, patient, honest and hardworking man. Most of all I remembier him as a child of God. We had many talks about Jesus and our beliefs. His face reflected the joys of having Christ in his life. Always smiling even though many times carried weight of world on his shoulders. He loved his children dearly. He will be missed. Rest in Peace. God be with his entire family. Shirley Cannon
