William Robert West, Jr. "BUBBA"

William Robert West, Jr. "BUBBA", 68, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, August 23, 2014 with his family by his side. Born August 15, 1946, in Tallahassee, Florida to William Robert West, Sr. and Willie West. Bubba was the well respected business owner of Robert West Jr, Plumbing for 41 years. He was an honorable father, brother and friend. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Evelyn West, his parents, William Robert West, Sr , and Willie West and life long dog-friend, Ty. Survivors include his sons, Rob West and wife, Tara, , Terry West and wife Nicki, Matt West and wife, Brandy, his fiancé, Patricia Alley, his sister, Pearl Louise Strickland, and husband, Marvin, his brother, Rodney West and wife Cheri, his friend that he considered a son, Jamie Elkins and wife, Teresa, 12 grand children and his dog, Ralph. In his free time, Bubba enjoyed fishing and traveling. Those who knew Bubba knew that he lived everyday to his fullest. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home on Riggins Rd. A celebration of his life will be on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 12:00pm at the Freedom Church on Thomasville, Rd; Graveside service to follow at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.

There is a saying out there " To be a first love is wonderful..but to be the last is more than perfect. We were together on the day we were born and on the day he died. How much more wonderful can it be!

Bubba truly believed he could beat this cancer and we both tried with all we had. God just needed another good and funny angel in heaven

Pat and Bubba's family, I want to say how sorry I am for your loss. I have only known him for a short few years but grew to love and respect him. He is now with his angels in heaven. Pat you were his angel on earth, I hope when the time comes I have someone as dedicated and caring as you by my side. What a joy it was to get to know you both over the last 4 years! Just to watch the two of you made everyone around you feel good!!
It was always so evident how much he loved you and that it worked both ways.
What a wonderful day when he was saved and you both got involved with the church. He was a true inspiration to watch as he fought this long battle! He always told everyone he would not have made it as long as he did if it had not been for you. I hope one day I have someone look at me the way he looked at you. You never left his side and he never give up the fight.
