Christopher Parker Obituary

PARKER, Christopher Lewis "Chris," 37, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday, January 25, 2004 in a boating accident. Born in Beaufort, South Carolina, he came here in 1977 from St. George, Utah. He was co-founder of The Bone- fish Grill Restaurant Chain, which originated in St. Petersburg and expanded nationally. He was a member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club and was very active in charity work in the community. He is survived by his father, W. Lewis Parker of St. Petersburg; his mother and step father, Elaine P. and F.C. Frick of Greenville, S.C.; three sisters, Susan E. Mayo of Raleigh, N.C., Lizette Parker of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and Sam S. Braddock of Florence, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews. A "Celebration of Life" will be held Saturday, January 31 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1900 Gandy Blvd., St. Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, for Lung Cancer Research, 4801 86th Ave. N., Pinellas Park, FL 33782.
