Colleen Losa Obituary
She was born in Big Rapids, Mich., March 20, 1962 to Robert Eugene and Caroline Whalen Duncan and was the Owner of Heartland Medical Supplies. She attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She enjoyed snow-skiing, going to the beach and watching her twin sons play sports. She had been a resident of Avon Park since 1992, coming from Orlando, Fla.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Mark C. Losa of Avon Park; sons, Cole Valentine Losa and Finn Robert Losa of Avon Park; parents, Robert and Caroline Duncan of Sebring; sister, Carin Duncan of Sebring; brothers, Michael (Amy) Duncan of Sebring and Carl (Raquel) Duncan of Sebring; father and mother-in-law, Valentine and Mary Ann Losa of New Jersey; brothers-in-law, Val, David, Paul and Matthew Losa, all of New Jersey; sister-in-law, Sandy Langley of California.
A visitation with the family will take place 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring. A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at the Our Lady Of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park with Father Nicholas McLaughlin, celebrant. A luncheon will follow the Mass in the Grogan Center. Stephenson-Nelson

No matter her mood or mine, our conversations always ended with laughter. I waited my entire life for a sister, God gave me Colleen, but then realized what he gave up! Fifteen years with her in my life, gave me more than most people have in a lifetime. Taken too soon Girlfriend.

It is hard to say goodbye to you Colleen. You are the big sister I never had. You were the one I looked up to growing up. The one I tried to emulate. I remember many times tagging along with you but you never made me feel like a nuisance. I am so amazed by all you have accomplished in your all too young life. You are an amazing person and mother. I met Colleen and Carin at FSU in 1984 along with crowd of devoted friends that surrounded them. I had the good fortune to be their roommate for a semester. They showed me the meaning of generousity and true friendship. I'll always remember the fun we had zipping around in her Fiat-X19, rehashing our experiences and laughing til it hurt! I will miss her sharp whit and infectious laughter! Cheers to Colleen!!

Colleen was an amazing woman! I have taught Cole for 2 years now (currently in 4th and in 2nd) and she was always willing to be a part of what was going on in the classroom. She always made me realize my true blessings in life! I will miss her greatly and will do all that I can for her beloved boys!
