Donald Chamberlin Obituary

CHAMBERLIN, Donald L. 88, of Oldsmar, FL passed away September 14, 2024. He was born in Dunedin, FL to James Graham Chamberlin and Mary Ruth Bruce on December 13, 1935. He is predeceased by his father, mother and brother James Graham Chamberlin, Jr. He is survived by his significant other, Vicki Klapper; brother Michael R. Chamberlin and his wife Lollie; ex-wife Therese M. Chamberlin from 1961-1995; son Jeffrey D. Chamberlin and his wife Paula; daughter Karen Chamberlin; two granddaughters Jaime & Jennifer Chamberlin and two grandsons Drake Chamberlin and Alexander Goity. During Donald's long career he served as a State Senator representing Florida's 19th district for four years; was President of the Pinellas County Teacher's Association and was a teacher in the Pinellas County School District for 12 years at both Clearwater High School and JFK Middle School in Clearwater, FL. He served as president of FSU's Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity from 1958-1959 and was a 1953 graduate of Clearwater High School, serving as Senior Class president. Donald's hobbies were reading, genealogy, St. Louis Cardinals baseball and horse racing. He attended the Unitarian Universalist Church, Clearwater, FL. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association. hubbellfuneralhome.com
