Frances M. Sample

SAMPLE, Frances M. "Maxine", 91, of Lake Placid, Fla., passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at Florida Hospital Lake Placid. She was born in Bridgport, Ill. to parents, Walter and Sallie Hudgel. She graduated from Ball State University in 1936, and taught high school in Northern Indiana and was active in several civic organizations, especially the Girl Scouts and Junior Golf, a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Lake Placid, Lake Country Golf Club since 1973, and past president of Ladies Golf Association. Mrs. Sample was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Large in 1993. Survivors include her husband, John W. Sample of Lake Placid, whom she married in 1996; and sister, Cecile L.
