Harold McBRAYER Obituary

McBRAYER, Harold Eugene, 75, of Avon Park passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Harold McBrayer was born July 1, 1938 in Dora, Alabama to the late Herman Luther and Opal Eunice (Morgan) McBrayer. He had served in the U.S. Marin Corp Reserves and then in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired owner and operator of an automotive transmission repair shop in League City, TX. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, as well as the LIONS Club and the National Finch Society. He loved NASCAR, raising birds, hunting and fishing. He moved to Avon Park in 2004 from League City, TX. Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Margie; 6 children, Tony, Gene, Rick, Donna, Fred and Bob; 1 brother, Howard; 1 sister, Juanell; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A prayer service for Mr. McBrayer will be held 3:00PM, Thursday, Febru-ary 13, 2014 in the Chapel of Peace at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Rd., Sebring, FL 33872. On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
