Henry FOWLER Obituary
"Hank" 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by family July 28, 2017 at Mease Countryside Hospital. He was the son of Henry and Marie Fowler of Columbia SC. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sisters, Bernie Frey and Margaret Entrikin, and is survived by his loving wife, Susan; and seven children, Terrye, Hank Jr. (Cynde), Jeffrey (Susan), Clint (Mara), Deborah Schoendorf (John), Jamie (Andrea), and Laura. Survivors also include 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Hank was a dedicated member of The Florida Hearing Aid Society and worked in the hearing aid business for over 50 years. He had many interests such as golfing, gardening, and enjoying the pleasures of nature. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 639 Edgewater Dr., Dunedin, FL August 26 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Assoc., Church of the Good Shepherd Endowment Fund, or a charity of your choice.

Yep. You're still here, in my head every single day. Seriously, a day doesn't pass that your presence isn't there, and I love that so very much. Much of what I now do in my daily life is led by the things you taught me. I just wish I had listened to you much sooner in my life, LOL!! Things would have been much better. Always loving you, Dad.

I still talk to you all the time, Dad. You still guide me in finding "right" decisions. Just wish I had listened to you more way back when...see you again, I'm sure.

I'm sure Hank didn't know what was in store for him when he bought into Mainsteet ice cream parlor 40 years ago. He must have felt like he was herding cats with all of us unruly teenagers for employees. I'll always remember him fondly. Best wishes to the extended Fowler family during this difficult time, and always.

I was saddened to hear of Hank's passing. I often spoke with Hank in regard to advertising his business, Countryside Hearing. He was always very nice to me and seemed a sweet soul. I'm glad he was surrounded by family as he transitioned.

My Father and I differed, loved, laughed, shared lives together for almost 60 years. I moved back to Florida to be near him almost 40 years ago, and never regretted that. I will miss him.........greatly.

One of my most favorite memories of Dad is when we would go to Edisto Island, S.C., driving on those dark moss-laden roads late at night and he would tell us about the Ghost of Hominy Marsh where people could hear him somewhere deep in the marsh growling saying "Grrr-its"!
