BEQUER, Jesus Napoleon

95, of Tampa, passed away November 27, 2018. He passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife of 72 years, Vitalia Cespedes, by his side. Born in Manzanillo, Cuba, he lived an extraordinary life. He lived in two countries he loved passionately and was eternally grateful for his adopted country of America and for the freedom and opportunity she gave him and his family. He worked tirelessly to build a business, Hispano-American Distributors, that would provide for them and serve the needs of the community for over 30 years. He was a man of principles, integrity, and leadership. He served as a member of the Knights of Columbus, Casa de Cuba de Tampa, and was president of the Latin Chamber of Commerce in Tampa. He was a strong supporter of the Club 15 Charitable organization. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Dr. Napoleon Bequer (Glenna), Dr. Edward Becker (Maria), and Olivia Bequer Rodriguez and her spouse, Dr. Cres Rodriguez, who was another son to him and his physician. He is also survived by his grandchildren, JB, Haydee, Cres, Byron, Alexandra, Brenton, Bianca and Bobby; and great-grandchildren, Cristina, Carlos, Christian, Adam and Edward. A funeral mass and service will be held Saturday, December 8, 11 am, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 5225 N. Himes Avenue. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Club 15, Inc., PO Box 273933, Tampa, FL 33688.
