I started to work @ Palms of Pasadena HOSPITAL in May 1981. In CICU the first Dr. I seen was Dr. Hoche and than his partner Dr. Mason. Couldn't have met two more personable and professional gentlemen. I learned a lot in my 31 years @ Palms and Dr. Hoche was a big part of that, as well as knowledge of his favorite chicken place, Popeyes. He was a wonderful individual and is missed and respected in his profession. It was nice to have known him and God Blessing on him and his family.

Great guy, great doctor. He helped me in so many ways personally and professionally. My personal condolences to his family, and friends. I will miss him.

Dr. Hoche began his Cardiology practice at Palms of Pasadena Hospital around the time that I joined the Radiology Department. Over the next 30 years we enjoyed many patient related and non-patient care discussions in and out of the hospital. John was such a pleasure to know professionally as well as a personal friend. His breadth and depth of knowledge in medical and non-medical subjects always added to the discussion. I shall remember him fondly as an outstanding physician and a great person that I was privileged to know for many years. J. Greg Arterburn, MD
