Dear friend Lisa, I am very sorry not to be here for your funeral; but I felt sadder that you had left without being able to say goodbye to you, now I tell you in Spanish how you liked me to speak to you " Se que en otra dimensión, tiempo o espacio nuestros caminos volverán a encontrarse" ("I know that in another dimension, time or space our paths will meet again") I MISS YOU!!!

Though I hadn't seen Lisa in some years. My heart sunk when I heard the news. A lady that no one can forget. Warm & giving. Her smile, her laughter. How beautiful she was inside and out and her brillant mind. To her family. So sorry for your loss. She was a Gem.

All of my heartfelt prayers for comfort going out to all of Lisa's friends and family. My heart is a bit heavier with knowledge of her passing. She fought with grace, strength and dignity for her life and was a bright inspiration to so many struggling with illness. She touched the world and the ripples of that will continue to be felt and experienced...just as a pebble does when thrown into a pond. The ripples of energy spread out to the shore and though we may not be able to perceive it... it flows beyond and changes form. She did not lose her battle. She won it valiantly in every way!

Lisa's passing is heartbreaking. Although we were not close friends I'd like to share my fond memories of her: I knew her as a fun loving, beautiful, giving and kind soul who added light to any room. I met Lisa when we were both on the countywide All-Star softball team in high school. She was a gifted athlete. I later connected with her through the Lip Sync events she was involved in-and loved watching her perform and enjoyed the social circle she was a part of back then. I watched from afar when she got her degree from USF and was proud of her as a fellow Bull. Later, I was excited to watch her in her profession as a US Marshal, when she was featured on national tv because she captured a notorious fugitive out West. It was inspiring to see a female law enforcement officer accomplish such a feat and I was pleased to see the media give Lisa the recognition she deserved. Lisa's positive attitude and courage are an inspiration to me and her powerful legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those of us who knew her.

To a Wonderful persons taken away from us way to early.
I will never forgot the few days before she was diagnosed
With this awful disease that took her life.
To her Family way to young for this to have happened.
Lisa and I were watching the Rays game on TV and she said to me I just don't feel good. She had a golf tournament the next day and said she had to play.
We each finished our glass of wine and said good night
Love you Lisa you touched my life in so many ways.

It was a privilege to have spent my adolescent years toward adulthood with Lisa as a friend. Her and Susie always brighten my day when I think if them both. Our childhood memories are priceless and our countless laughs till tears rolled down our faces. A true fighter, a sprit to be recconed with. May God grant her eternal peace, and may God comfort those left behind to deal with such a great loss.
