Maria Benedetti Obituary

BENEDETTI, Maria, 92, of Spring Hill, Fla., formerly of Chicago, Ill., passed away Saturday, February 24, 2007, at home. She was born in Bari, Italy and came here in 1974 from Chicago, Ill. She was predeceased by her husband, Giovanni Benedetti, and her daughter, Angela Dicintio. She was Catholic by faith and attended St. Theresa Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and Matriarch. She enjoyed cooking, caring for her home and family, and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her two sons, Paul and his wife, Gerri, of Spring Hill, Fla., and Joe and his wife, Alba, of Bloomingdale, Ill.; and her daughter, Anna and her husband, Paul Lonero, of Bari, Italy: 10 grandchildren, 16 great-children, many nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends. A gathering of family and friends will take place 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and a wake service will be at 7 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2007, at the Spring Hill Chapel located at 4450 Commercial Way. She will be laid to rest in Chicago, Ill.
